A-330 is the bright representative of longhaul wide-bodied aircrafts of European concern Airbus. The plane is completely certificated for flights in Russia and abroad. Vladivostok Air is the first aircraft operator of A330 in the Far East. There are only two airlines in Russia which possess similar type of aircrafts.

There are applied following new technologies in A330: a digital control system of flight Fly-by-Wire, joysticks instead of steering wheels, a glass cockpit with LCD displays, the first sections of a fuselage from composite materials. The avionics and control cab as a whole are unified with series А-340, А-320.
There are two engines General Electric GE CF6-80E1A2 used in the airplane. They are certificated on ETOPS-180.
In comparison with other airliners of the similar sizes, series А-330 is distinct in higher fuel efficiency, comfortable passenger cabin layout and large cargo capacity. Owing to these and other reasons A-330 airplanes are so popular with airlines all over the world.
