The Mi-8 helicopter is a multi-faceted craft that allows for both passenger and cargo cabin layouts. Vladivostok Air uses both layouts.
The helicopters are equipped with an external mount with a maximum weight of 3000 kgs, and also have an on-board winch which can lift weights up to 150 kg.
The «Passenger» layout of the craft allows for 28 seats and a small closet (or 32 seats without the closet) and is equipped with ventilation and heating systems. The «Cabin» layout allows seating for 9 to 11 passengers and is furnished with two small tables, an armchair and a sofa. The back section holds a galley, closet and bathroom.
The «Transport» seating layout is designed with a cargo hold for up to 23 cubic meters with special wide hatch doors and enforced floor. There is seating for up to 24 passengers along the craft?s sides. For wheel-based cargos, there is a regulated lowering ramp at the back of the fuselage.
