Four people from Primorsky region left Peretychykha village for Svetlaya village (Terney district) riding two Ural cars. But there started heavy snow, and the travelers couldn't get to Svetlaya village in time. People who had waited for them with increasing anxiety for a few days organized surface searching which gave no results however — a heavy snowfall made it impossible to reach the victims. More than ten days having passed from the moment of travelers being lost, and their chances for survival were decreasing with every minute. Mr. Sergey Darkin, Governor of Primorye, made an order to Primorye administration to apply to Vladivostok Air for help. As a result, a MI-8 helicopter with a crew and a team of Vladivostok Air life-saver onboard started the search immediately. They found the victims, and carefully lifted them on board with a special winch. Fortunately, none of the victims were seriously injured during these days.

It's not by chance that in such cases Vladivostok Air is asked to help, as long as the company's Life-guard Service is the only department in Primorye that has a highly professional team, all necessary equipment and extended experience in air search operations. The company's life-savers are qualified divers, parachutists, firemen. For example, during the last year there were 36 search and life-saving operations — our team provided help to the crews of disabled ships, fishermen on drifting ice-floes and boats, flood victims. Sometimes in winter Vladivostok Air's helicopters search for travelers lost in taiga.

According to the life-savers, the most complicated task is saving people from sinking steam vessels in a storm. The situation requires special skills from the helicopter crew because of the strong wind and the constant drifting of the vessel. But experience doesn't fail our team.

In a word, Vladivostok Air's specialists are always ready to provide any help to people in distress. Their work of professionally saving people's lives is hard but honorable.
