Vladivostok Air has started electronic interline under the interline-agreement with Aeroflot — Russian Airlines OJSC.
The subject of the interline-agreement is recognition of the transportation documentation of one carrier by another one, thus, in most cases air carriers amend these agreements with special tariff agreements. Currently Vladivostok Air has agreements with more than forty Russian and foreign airlines.
The main advantage of interline for a passenger is registration of the uniform air ticket plus, as a rule, the attractive price policy.
New convenience of the recent years is electronic interline. After signing such agreement by airlines passengers can buy electronic tickets for complex connecting flights of the both airlines. According to new е-ticketing technology, instead of paper ticket a passenger will get in the airlines electronic databases. At the airports (including the airport of interlining) it is enough to show the passport to get to flight. The great advantage of the electronic ticket is that it cannot be lost since data about passengers and their route are kept in the form of electronic record.
For Vladivostok Air electronic interline with Aeroflot airline is the eighth agreement with use of electronic ticket registration. Currently teamwork is carried out with Continental Airlines Inc.; Korean Air Lines Co. Ltd.; Thai Airways Intl. Public Company Limited.; Asiana Airlines, INC.; Siberia Airlines; All Nippon Airways Company, Ltd.; Vietnam Airlines.
