Aviators in Primorye are ready to welcome a new Àirbus A330. This is probably one of the most significant events for the airline, and almost all the divisions and offices are working meticulously pending the arrival. In the middle of May Vladivostok Air crew will ferry the aircraft to its home base, and in June the airline will introduce it to the passengers en route.
Vladivostok Air has developed an assimilation program for A330 airplanes. This will be the first wide-body aircraft in the airline's fleet, with 327 passenger seat layout.
Under the assimilation program company staff is preparing for A330 flight operation and maintenance. Flight officers and instructors, maintenance personnel and flight attendants all have been retrained by now, and the first flight crews have been formed.
The first À330 will arrive in the airline in the middle of May. Regular Vladivostok — Moscow flights are scheduled from June 9, 2009 on. The second À330 will come in October 2009, the third one is expected in March 2010. The aircrafts will perform direct flights from Far East cities to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Some more good news for the airline passengers. Vladivostok Air informs you that from May 25, 2009 departure time for Vladivostok — Moscow Flight 459 will be changed. The flight used to depart at 02:45 pm, however, for the summer season off time is scheduled on 12:00, so that the passengers can arrive in Moscow at 02:30 pm local time. Return Moscow — Vladivostok Flight 460 will also take off earlier. Departure time is 05:20 pm, arrival in Vladivostok at 09:30 am (next day).
