Vladivostok Air resumes its Chukchi flight on December 9th.
Vladivostok Air is a unique airline which offers through air service between Khabarovsk and Anadyr. Actually, air traffic is the most convenient way to reach from the Chukotka Autonomous District to Khabarovsky krai. There is no railway traffic between regions and water traffic is carried out only in navigation period.
Adjusting the given air flight connection, which was interrupted in October, Vladivostok Air carries out not only the social program of local population support for whom the plane is almost the only means of transportation, but also helps the Chukchi businessmen transporting northern delicacies.
There was a paradoxical situation before direct flight opening. It was necessary to fly through Moscow to get from Anadyr to Khabarovsk. Now Chukotka inhabitants can directly reach Khabarovsk. Thus, necessity for long and tiresome flight about 18 hours has disappeared. Now flight time makes in the order of 4 hours.
Flight to Anadyr is carried out every Wednesday, beginning from December 9th. Departure is at 10:05, arrival is at 16:15. Return flight takes off the same day at 18:15, arriving to Khabarovsk at 20:25.
