Voluntary rejection of transportation

Under a voluntary desire of a passenger to go the new itinerary, a new ticket is executed under the general conditions. A voluntary rejection of a flight is the rejection of the passenger (including delay for the ticket check-in or the boarding). Under a voluntary rejection less than 24 hours, a charge is discounted, which amount may not exceed twenty five percent of the amount paid for the air transportation.

An ex parte change by a passenger of the date and time of departure for later or earlier than the specified period shall be considered as a voluntary rejection of the flight.

Forced failure (change of terms of agreement)

A forced change by a passenger of agreement conditions of air transportation shall be:

  • cancellation or delay of the flight specified in the ticket;
  • change of the itinerary by the carrier;
  • execution of a flight not according to the schedule.

Agreement conditions of air transportation are changed for reasons out of the passenger’s control in the result of:

  • missed dispatch of the passenger due to impossibility to provide a seat for the flight and the date shown in the ticket;
  • missed transportation of the passenger on an aircraft caused by delay of the passenger in the airport due to long screening, if the luggage or personal screening produced no banned substances or items;
  • sudden illness of the passenger or illness or death of a member of his(her) family traveling together with him confirmed with medical documents;
  • failure to provide the services to the passenger according to the class specified in the ticket;
  • inaccurate execution of the ticket by the carrier or its authorized agent.

Passenger, baggage, cargo transportation to airport (point) of destination whereto passenger, baggage, cargo is to be delivered under contract for passenger air transportation, contract for cargo air transportation by several carriers under one and the same transportation document or additional documents completed together with such document shall be deemed single transportation regardless of whether any change (overloading) or interruption in transportation. Failure on carrier’s side to provide flight matching in case of single transportation performance.
