On June 23rd OJSC Vladivostok Air has entered the additional security clearance of payments 3-D Secure, for buying tickets via the Internet site.

Given technology has been developed by payment systems VISA — Verified by

Visa (VbV) and Master Card — MasterCardSecureCode (MCSC) with the purpose to secure customers completely form fraudulent operations and unapproved use of a credit card by other people.

3-D Secure is the newest and perfect technology from all presented for today. Application of the international 3-D Secure specification guarantees safety of payments via the Internet for all users in any electronic stores.

3-D Secure is technology of cardmember authentification for carrying out remote payments via the Internet. Major safety factors, which provide 3-D Secure, are:

1. Personal identification of the cardmember in real time. After input card number on the payment page of the electronic store, the buyer is redirected to the bank-emitter server. Bank function is cardmember identity check. For this purpose, it is used a password which is known only to the cardmember and bank.
2. Checking result protection. In view of the results of checking the bank-emitter forms the reply message. To protect the information from unapproved changes, the bank uses the digital signature.
3. Protection of the user private data. For input customer private data, e.g. card numbers, it is used the protected pages of a payment server. The entered information remains on a payment server and the payment addressee (an electronic store) has no access to this information that in the best way protects from its loss and abduction.

Now the majority of bank cards support 3-D Secure technology. Nevertheless we recommend you to specify the information about access of service to your credit card in your bank.
